Damage from Natural Disasters

Floods, earthquakes, and other acts of God are not covered. We recommend reviewing your homeowners insurance policy for catastrophic event coverage.

Improper Landscaping or Drainage Changes

If landscaping or drainage modifications are made after our repair that compromise the foundation, the warranty is void for affected areas. Always consult IFR before making major yard changes.

Unreported Plumbing Leaks

Plumbing leaks that existed at the time of inspection but were not reported to IFR are not covered. We need an accurate picture of your property's condition to do our best work.

Normal Wear on Non-Structural Elements

Cosmetic items like paint, drywall texture, and flooring are not part of the structural warranty. We focus on what matters: the structural integrity of your foundation.

What does lifetime transferable warranty mean?
A lifetime transferable warranty means our coverage stays with the home, not the homeowner. If you sell your property, the warranty automatically transfers to the new owner. There is no time limit and no proration — the coverage is valid for the entire lifespan of the home, regardless of who owns it. This is fundamentally different from a "lifetime" warranty that only covers the original purchaser.

How do I transfer the warranty when I sell my home?
To transfer your warranty, notify IFR Foundation Repair in writing with the new owner's name and contact information. You can email us at ifrfoundationdfw@gmail.com or mail us at 4798 Benbrook Blvd, Benbrook, TX 76116. There is no transfer fee. We will update our records and send the new homeowner a confirmation of the transferred warranty.

Is the warranty prorated?
No. Our lifetime warranty is not prorated. You receive full coverage for the entire life of the home. Unlike some competitors who reduce coverage over time — paying 80% in year 5, 50% in year 10, and so on — IFR's warranty maintains the same level of protection year after year. If a covered issue arises 20 years from now, we fix it at no cost to you.

What if I have a warranty claim?
If you notice any foundation issues in a previously repaired area, call us at (817) 561-6500. We will schedule a free re-inspection of the repaired areas. If the issue is covered under warranty, we will fix it at no cost to you. Most warranty service calls are completed within a few days of the inspection.

Does the warranty cover drainage work?
Drainage solutions carry a separate 5-year warranty. Pier and foundation repair work carries our lifetime transferable warranty. Can I get a copy of my warranty?
Yes. If you need a copy of your warranty documentation, call us at (817) 561-6500 or email ifrfoundationdfw@gmail.com with your name and property address. We will send you a digital or printed copy of your warranty within a few business days.
